Home/Process

Four moves from brief to broadcast.

The same four-step rhythm runs through every project, whether it's a two-day product shoot or a six-week documentary. We've found that rigour at the front end — and patience at the back — saves the work.

Phase one

Discovery

Listen first. Find the angle nobody else is shooting.

We don't show up with a treatment in hand. The first conversation is a long one — about the brand, the audience, what's already been tried, and what hasn't worked. We leave with a single question we want the project to answer. If we can't articulate that question, we don't move forward yet.

  • 1–2hr discovery call (in-person or remote)
  • Reference review and brief audit
  • Audience & channel alignment
  • Decision: scope, fit, kickoff date
02

Phase two

Concept

Build the world before a single light goes up.

Treatment doc, mood frames, look-frames, sound references. We design the world the project lives in down to the typography on the call-sheet. Locations are scouted in person; casting is done with the audience in mind, not just the brand. Nothing goes to set without a written treatment everyone has signed off on.

  • Treatment + look frames
  • Locations, casting, props, wardrobe
  • Shot list and run-of-show
  • Pre-pro sign-off meeting
03

Phase three

Production

On set, on time, on the day. Cinema cameras, intentional lighting.

We shoot on cinema-grade glass with a small, sharp crew that scales up only when the work demands it. Sound is captured on every shoot — even when "we'll just use music in post" is the plan. Source media is backed up redundantly the same day, then handed back to you with the masters.

  • Shoot day(s) with full pre-pro
  • Multi-cam, drone, audio, BTS
  • Same-day backup + sync
  • Daily call-sheets + crew briefings
04

Phase four

Delivery

Edit sharp. Color rich. Sound deep. Cut-downs for socials.

The first cut goes to you within three weeks of wrap. Two rounds of revisions come standard; we've never needed three. Color is graded for the medium it ships in, and sound design is rebuilt from the location capture rather than dropped on top. You leave with masters, mezzanines, social cut-downs, and the full source archive.

  • First cut within 3 weeks
  • 2 rounds of revisions
  • Color + sound + master
  • Cut-downs (16:9, 9:16, 1:1)

What we shoot on

Tools earned,
not flexed.

Cameras

Sony FX-series cinema bodies, supported by full-frame mirrorless for stills + b-roll. Drone work via certified RPAS pilots.

Lighting

Aputure + Nanlux key system, full RGB grip, modifiers for soft-window work. We light for cinema, not for sponsored Instagram.

Post

DaVinci Resolve for color, Premiere for cut, Pro Tools for sound. Fully-typed handover: edit XMLs + grading LUT + source archive.
